Dubbed “one of the greatest performance sedan/hatchbacks of all time”, and rightly so.
The Audi RS7 is often the dream Audi of enthusiasts (at least for us) with its smooth 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, stunning body, performance, and practicality. It is, after all, a sedan. A very, very fast sedan. The ultimate grocery getter. A 605-hp grocery getter. This 2016 Performance model has a pretty price tag that is rightly justified: besides the extra horsepower (up 45hp from the base model) , the RS7 Performance comes with revised valve timing, new exhaust valves, different camshafts, higher-efficiency radiators, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a reprogrammed control unit for ultimate performance.
This gorgeous piece of machinery you see before you was custom ordered for an Audi Naples customer many months ago and it finally arrived yesterday. In all it’s Audi Exclusive Nogaro Blue glory, it also donned an I’m-at-a-loss-for-words interior: black leather/Alcantara RS sport seats with Mercato Blue diamond stitching and Carbon twill blue inlays. Drool…
So. What do you do with a $150k car? The answer is obvious. We couldn’t wait to get our hands on this thing.
Our client wanted to go big and off-the-wall. This Performance already came with an upgraded exhaust, but there’s always room for improvement (; And henceforth, an Akrapovic Evolution performance exhaust system was ordered all the way from Germany, keeping true to the car’s European heritage. Designed to provided more horsepower and torque, this lightweight system was finished beautifully in a satin Titanium with Carbon Fiber tips and nicely highlights the grumble of the RS7’s twin turbo V8.
The result? A nicely accessorized underbody and just-loud-enough popping exhaust. Check out the comparison below: stock on the left, Akrapovic on the right. Looks pretty sweet to us!
A little upgrade on the side consisted of replacing the stock grill with that famous Quattro emblazoned across the bottom.
Now, gaze longingly at the shots below…
