The Audi Exclusive realm is not uncharted territory around Audi Naples; from stunning interiors to full vehicles, there is always something unique and elusive sitting on the lot. That said, we bring to you our most Audi Exclusive build to date.
It all starts with a vision and a Audi Order Guide. Ordering a custom Audi is a lengthy process; you have to make decisions about nearly every aspect of the car, from paint color to packages, and then gets sent off to be approved by the manufacturer. From there, changes may need to be made to tweak your car, whether it has to do with manufacturer compliance or a last-minute re-decision on your part. Finally, your order is approved and then comes the long itchy wait while your car is built and shipped. That’s where this story begins.
A good customer of ours couldn’t resist the urge to add Audi’s redesigned supercar to his faithful lineup. A nice chunk of time and planning with the Audi Naples sales staff went in to create the perfect Audi Exclusive R8 V10 Plus, and it’s pretty exclusive as it gets. Start with the Nardo Gray paint, the lovable dream [girl]color of the Audi community, then move inside to where the majority of customization was done.
The end result of this car’s interior is quite stunning:
-Jet Gray/Black Fine Nappa full leather interior with Crimson Red stitching
-Jet Gray Fine Nappa leather seats with Crimson Red diamond stitching
-Jet Gray Fine Nappa leather door sills
-Jet Gray/Black Fine Nappa leather steering wheel with Crimson Red stitching
-Black Fine Nappa leather shift boot with Crimson Red stitching
-Black Alcantara headliner with Crimson Red diamond stitching
-Black floor mats with R8 logo and Crimson Red stitching
I’ve seen some pretty full “additional options” panels on Audi build sheets, but never anything like this. And that red stitching on the dash? It’s virtually unheard of in Audi vehicles. Now I will admit I’m not much of a red person, but look at that headliner. How can you not fall in love with that? Add in everything else: carbon fiber accents inside and out, a premium Bang & Olusfen sound system, dynamic steering, LED headlights and taillights, racing-style heated seats, ceramic brakes, a sport exhaust, illuminated door sills, all the latest technology encased in the Audi MMI and Virtual Cockpit, and you have one crazy awesome machine that justly deserves the Audi Exclusive badge.
As soon as the order for this car was completed, all thoughts immediately turned to modifications. Naturally. So while the stock 20″ titanium matte wheels complemented the Nardo Gray beautifully, they were already lost in the thoughts of everyone involved. And look at that wheel gap. Wait, what wheel gap? Not in this shop. As for the exterior chrome bits, it only made sense to replace them with ones more fitting.
First and foremost, we rid this stealthy supercar of that pesky wheel gap with a KW Height Adjustable Spring Suspension (no, they’re not coilovers). Wheels followed, comprising of freshly painted gloss black forged Vossen CG-204s, 20×9 in the front and 21×11.5 in the rear, finished off by Pirelli Pzero rubber, 245/30 in the front and 325/25 in the rear. Shiny chrome was replaced by an OEM gloss black front grille and a set of TAG Motorsports Blackout badges. With a supercar comes great fun and speed, invoking the need for a [precautionary] full K40 radar system.
This R8 was already one of a kind, we just made it better. If you see this Nardo Gray beauty cruising around town: make sure you stop, stare, and drool, but don’t forget to take a photo, post it, and tag us!
We took a trusty 2017 A3 Cab, a camera, a certain R8 key, and sped off (responsibly) down south to Marco Island. You know what comes next.
