2018 model year vehicles have flooded lots across the country. Audi implemented a lot of updates to its 2018 models, most notably the A5/S5 line, Q5/SQ5 line, and the release of the RS3 and TTRS.
In our first 2018 Audi article, we bring to you the refreshed and re-styled SQ5. Only on its second generation, the faster, more nimble big brother of the Q5 takes on rivals like the Porsche Macan and Jaguar F-Pace with ease. A new 3.0 turbocharged engine produces 354hp/369lb-ft torque, mated to Audi’s legendary quattro system and a 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. This SUV is no slow slug.
Elegant but simple styling has become the mantra of this SUV, and it wears it well. An enhanced exterior features aggressive corners round off smoothly, sharper headlights and brakelights, a boxy-er grille, and stellar body lines. Inside, the SQ5 gets a full Audi makeover, seen in the 2017 Q7, 2017 A4, and new 2018 A5/S5 line. Lines are clean cut, buttons are easy to understand and access, diamond-stitched leather is beautiful as always, carbon inlays ignite warm and fuzzy feelings, and of course the 12.3″ display right under your nose -Audi’s Virtual Cockpit- continues to amaze and puts everything you need at your fingertips.
New A5 and Q5 sales have kept Audi on its 79-month long US sales streak, and as these cars are bought up, some owners seek out aftermarket upgrades. Naturally, that’s where we come in.
This beaut is dolled up with:
-22″ Savini Black Di Forza wheels
-Front: 22 x 9″, Rear: 22 x 10.5″
-Electronically lowered
This only thing we’d nit pick about this SUV is the absence of a Black Optic Package, which would go great with its new black shoes. But we still dig it.
