🎼 It’s electric! boogie woogie woogie! (is that song still relevant?)
or how about:
“I got chills
And I’m losing control
Cause the power you’re supplying
On September 17th, 2018, Audi launched a world premiere of its first ever all-electric vehicle – the 2019 Audi e-tron – in the heart of the country’s EV market, San Fransisco. Alongside the reveal, Audi launched the Audi Reservation Platform to allow for an exclusive and personalized ordering experience of your very own e-tron SUV.
“With the introduction of the Audi e-tron, the Audi brand presents its first fully electric production model. The mid-size SUV is electrified, performance oriented and fit for every aspect of daily life. In combination with a comprehensive range of available charging solutions for home and on the move, customers can enjoy fully electric driving without compromise” (Audi USA).
Fast forward to the end of April 2019, when the country’s Audi dealers first received ordered e-tron units on the ground. It was a magical moment. The Audi e-tron is absolutely fantastic to drive, no questions asked. It’s smooth, it’s quiet, it’s fast, it’s nimble. It’s not flashy or obnoxious. It blends into the daily traffic flow easily – a silent mover with an impressive 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds. It’s a lot to take in, but well worth learning about. We won’t go too deep into the stats of the e-tron – you have the internet – so let’s get into what you’re [we’re] really here for.
We’re now in June, several e-tron’s sold later, and Audi Naples has one for the taking.
In a unique it-grows-on-you kind of color named Antigua Blue, this e-tron here is a basic model, no options added. Until now. And you knew this was coming.
Fittingly, Vossen Wheels officially launched its new CV series wheel, the CV10, yesterday on their site. And guess who’s e-tron is on the front page 😉
“The newest addition to the Vossen CV Series, the CV10 is a new take on the classic, concave styling that originally defined the Vossen brand. A complex, bi-level spoke pattern is accentuated with the two-tone Silver Polished standard finish, while Satin Black creates a menacing alternative” (Vossen).
We would never miss an opportunity to outfit a brand-new Audi with a brand-new wheel, so we fitted this gorgeous (yes) Antigua Blue e-tron with 22″ Vossen CV10 wheels in an Anthracite finish, lowered it as far as it could go (without compromising the ride of course), and now “looking fly” is this e-tron’s current status update.
Stay tuned for some more electrifying photos, and a video produced by Vossen themselves!
