Top Up or Down? // Mercedes SL on Vossen HF-3

Welcome to 2020 and our first feature of the year!

We’re kicking off the new year with this stunning Black over red Mercedes SL Roadster.  The SL class has a long 60-year history, starting way back in the 1950s.  The SL badge is home to a few very famous models like the 300 SL, 300 SL Gullwing, and SL65 AMG Black Series. The first roadster, the 190 SL, debuted at the 1954 NY motor show.  The convertible hardtop allows for the chance to zoom around with the sporty look of a coupe, with the the opportunity to let the wind blow through their hair on a sunny day.  It’s the best kind of convertible.

Now to the good stuff.  You can’t ever go wrong with a good set of gloss black wheels on a black car.  Add a set of lowering springs and you’re golden.  This case is no exception, giving this Merc a stealthy demeanor when prowling the streets.  We fitted this roadster with a set of 20-inch Vossen HF-3 wheels wrapped in a set of Toyo Proxes.   Red brake calipers match a red leather interior, tying the whole car together.

The only question now is, top up or down?
